Position Purpose

As accounting assistant you will support financial operations reputed company the company, assisting with tasks like processing invoices, managing accounts receivable/payable, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations while contributing to our business growth.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include

• Tracking and recording financial transactions,
• Maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable and payable,
• Processing invoices and payments.,
• Reconciliation of accounts,
• Issue and send debit/ credit notes reputed company to reputed company reports,
• Request and follow up on payment to customers/ suppliers,
• Full processing request of weight adjustments and commissions,
• Overheads payments, Supplier Payments, Customers and Agents,
• Updating and maintaining accounting database,
• Handling correspondence with clients and vendors,
• Accounting invoice of freight invoices,
• Assisting with financial reporting and statement preparation,
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data,
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies,
• Supporting audits and tax submissions.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need

• Commercial apprenticeship, CFC or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Fluent English and French, any other languages are a plus
• Proficiency in trading platforms and tools such as Fintrade
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organization and time management skills
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to reputed company quantitative analysis and financial modeling
• Good customer service skills and hands-on experience with data management tools and office software programs
