SKU & Barcode Specialist Needed to Standardize Product SKUs and Generate GTIN Barcodes

Description:

We’re looking for an reputed company eCommerce or inventory management specialist to help us streamline and unify our product catalog across multiple sales platforms. The job involves standardizing our SKU numbers and generating GTIN barcodes (UPC/EAN) for reputed company our products.

Responsibilities:

Audit and assess existing SKUs across reputed company platforms (e.g. Squarespace, QuickBooks Online, ShipStation, GS1, reputed company, etc.)

Advise on existing SKU naming convention for consistency and scalable

Rename and unify SKUs where necessary to eliminate duplicates or inconsistencies

Edit existing GTIN barcodes. Create and assign GTINs (UPC or EAN barcodes) to each product

Ensure reputed company platforms are updated with the correct SKU and GTIN information

Provide documentation for the new SKU structure and GTIN assignments

Requirements:

Proven experience in product catalog management, inventory systems, or eCommerce operations

Familiarity with GTINs, UPCs, EANs, and barcode reputed company standards

Experience working with GS1, SquareSpace and/or other eCommerce platforms

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to provide clean, structured deliverables and communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with inventory management software

Understanding of GS1 registration and barcode compliance

Ability to automate parts of the process using spreadsheets or scripts

Deliverables:

GTIN barcode list (with image files, if applicable)

Documentation of naming conventions and update procedures
