Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Manager to lead the arenaflex Ranking Data Science (DS) group. This team is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery and performance measurement of core product experiences such as the Connected Feed, Stories, Share Sheet, Notes, and Comments. The ideal candidate blends deep analytical expertise with a product‑first mindset, can influence senior stakeholders, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve complex problems. This is a part‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity based in Oklahoma, USA, offering a competitive hourly rate of $40‑$50.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and track goal metrics that directly reflect product team performance and business impact.
  • Investigate ad‑hoc issues, debug regressions, and ensure rapid resolution of data‑related incidents.
  • Design rigorous testing plans and validate results using statistically sound methods.
  • Report findings to arenaflex and broader arenaflex stakeholders, coordinating cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Analyze data trends to surface opportunities, shape product strategy, and prioritize high‑impact work.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to create reliable metrics pipelines, validate data accuracy, and maintain robust logging.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that monitor product health.
  • Develop new metrics with a focus on stability, scalability, and actionable insight.
  • Champion the use of statistics as a strategic asset throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading cross‑functional teams in a professional or academic setting.
  • Proven track record of launching initiatives from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Hands‑on experience with statistical analysis, experimental design, and causal inference.
