Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, technically skilled Senior Data Scientist who can design, develop, and deploy sophisticated ranking models that power arenaflex’s search and recommendation systems. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of machine‑learning solutions—from data collection and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and production monitoring. Your expertise will help us maintain arenaflex’s position as the most trusted, accurate, and user‑friendly job search platform on the planet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Development: Design, implement, and iterate on state‑of‑the‑art ranking and recommendation models, moving them from prototype to production at scale.
  • MLOps & Monitoring: Establish robust best practices for model evaluation, continuous monitoring, and automated deployment pipelines (MLOps) to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions and to integrate model outputs into live product features.
  • Code Review & Mentorship: Participate in code reviews, promote engineering excellence, and mentor junior data scientists and engineers on the team.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest research in machine learning, deep learning, and information retrieval; adapt open‑source advancements to solve real‑world problems at arenaflex.
  • Data Pipeline Ownership: Build and maintain high‑quality data pipelines that feed training and inference systems, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
  • Product Impact: Balance technical depth with product thinking, delivering measurable improvements to key metrics such as click‑through rate, conversion, and user satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or related field).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in training, fine‑tuning, and evaluating large‑scale models, particularly deep learning architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience with deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
  • Strong foundation in algorithmic thinking, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Experience with recommendation systems and ranking algorithms, especially learning‑to‑rank techniques.
