Electrical Designer

As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing switchgear control systems and metering circuits, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product designs that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Designing switchgear control systems and metering circuits to meet specific customer application requirements using S&C automation products
- Designing panel layouts, reputed company reputed company and cable assemblies, and generating Bills of Material
- Specifying low voltage electrical components including protection relays, RTUs, communication devices, and reputed company transformers
- Defining requirements and writing custom instructions for production testing of control circuits
- Generating supplementary instruction sheets that describe the operation of control circuitry
- Participating in cross-functional design teams to ensure customer needs are satisfied through high quality product designs that are delivered in a timely manner
- Providing support and to act as a technical resource for problem solving activities in both design and production processes
Skills
- Associated degree in an Electrical Field or equivalent
- Experience in design and drafting of electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams for low voltage control circuits
- Proficiency in the use of CAD systems, preferably Zuken, MicroStation, Solid Edge, or AutoCAD
- Must be self-motivated, well organized, and skilled decision maker that is comfortable in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment
- Strong technical abilities with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Experience in design and drafting of electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams for low voltage control circuits is preferred but not required
- Experience in, or working knowledge of, reputed company voltage switching, and protection products and systems is not required but is a plus
