Owns the creative and strategic relationship with external merchandise partners and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL), ensuring products meet Nintendo's exacting quality, brand, and IP standards. Plays a key role in bringing beloved Nintendo franchises to life through compelling product lines that enhance brand awareness, strengthen franchise appeal, and delight global fans. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Build and maintain strong, solution-focused relationships with partners, from working-level teams to senior leadership.

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and manufacturing techniques to inform and improve Hardlines product development processes.
  • Provide project status, development recommendations, and feedback to internal project teams and external business partners.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-7 years of reputed company experience required.

  • Thorough knowledge of Nintendo franchise characters and IP.

  • A creative design eye that understands design trends and best practices.
  • Experience reviewing 3D sculpts and modeling a plus.
  • Ability to execute against product development workback schedules.
  • Proven ability to reputed company results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities.
  • Strong proofing and copy-editing skills.
  • Video Game Industry experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Japanese culture, customs, and business protocol ideal.
  • JLPT N2 or equivalent level of proficiency in Japanese language is a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree of fine arts or fashion design preferred.
