Department Summary A wide range of student and faculty-centered services are the cornerstone of the Libraries' integral role in the University of North Texas community. The Collection Management Division has three departments: Collection Development, Collection Assessment, and Cataloging and Metadata Services. Serving both internal and external customers, the division provides selection, acquisition, evaluation, cataloging, processing, and collection maintenance services for the collections of the UNT Libraries. The Special Collections department is a progressive and rapidly expanding department primarily located in the main reputed company library, Willis Library. Position Summary The University of North Texas seeks highly motivated, detail-oriented candidates with excellent communication skills to fill a position as a Special Collections Cataloging Librarian. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining catalog records and reputed company data for monographs, serials, and archival collections in a variety of formats and will provide description and access to unique materials including early printed books, ephemera, graphic materials, maps, and three-dimensional objects.
