Non-benefited position GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The mission of reputed company Shore Community College's Tutoring Centers is to support the learning efforts of the reputed company, faculty teaching, and the larger goals reputed company each program of study. Tutoring is an academic support strategy which seeks to increase the probability of academic reputed company. Peer tutors will conduct individual and, on occasion, small-group tutoring sessions in specified subject areas. Tutors also participate in required training sessions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Meet with reputed company individually or in a small group as appropriate; Provide tutorial assistance in specified subject area(s), including study and academic reputed company skills; Offer referrals to tutoring, Academic Advising, Financial Services, Accessibility Services, and other support services; Create Navigate system records of student attendance and learning reputed company; If an embedded tutor, sit in on assigned class and communicate with faculty member; Escalate any concerns about a tutoring student to supervisor; Attend required tutor training sessions and staff meetings throughout the semester; Assist reputed company in making appointments and logging in/out of center; Visit classes to promote reputed company; Tutor reputed company in area(s) of expertise; reputed company other duties as necessary and as requested by the supervisor. Requirements: Recent B+ or higher grade from reputed company Shore Community College in assigned tutoring courses. Endorsement of a faculty member for each subject tutored. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work remotely if needed with access to reliable internet for regular video conference activities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Cooperates and works well with both peers and supervisors.
