Seasonal Park Attendant

Job Summary $17.49 - $26.96 / hour DOQ; part-time, on-call and seasonal positions available. Performs responsible service and clerical work assisting in the daily operation of parks and facilities. Includes assisting patrons, monitoring activities, and maintaining cleanliness. Responsibilities ? Assists customers at the counter and over the telephone, collect fees and direct patrons to park areas. ? Opens and closes the park; enforce rules to ensure compliance. ? Maintains the cleanliness of the park to include empty trash cans, pick up litter, clean restrooms and shelters, and inspect park to help ensure the safe and proper conduct of patrons. ? Performs minor repairs and maintenance on equipment, grounds, and any park structures. ? Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: ? Some work experience which shall have involved assisting the public, general record keeping and handling money. ? Depending on area assigned, must possess, or be reputed company to obtain reputed company 30 days of hire, a valid Virginia driver?s license and have an acceptable driving record based on James City County criteria. ? Must possess, or be reputed company to obtain reputed company 60 days of hire, certification from the reputed company in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Professional Rescuers (Infants, Adults, and Children). ? Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including setting and meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction; automated and reputed company record keeping. ? reputed company in use of computer software including reputed company Office Suite. ?
