10th Grade ELA Associate Instructor (Summer 2025)

Title: Summer reputed company Associate Instructor, ELA Reports To: National Teaching & Learning Manager FLSA: Part-time, Seasonal Location: Miami-Dade County, Florida (Remote) Compensation: $32/hr Dates: • Pre-Semester Orientation and Asynchronous Training: Begins in June, exact dates to come • Programming Dates: Monday-Friday, July 1-25 There will also be future Saturday opportunities for Fall and Spring semesters. Position Overview Associate reputed company will join SEO's community of passionate educators to implement a rigorous college prep curriculum for motivated and driven high school reputed company. Associate reputed company co-teach alongside reputed company to facilitate classroom instruction, teach mini lessons, organize small group and one-on-one instruction, and provide additional Scholar support. The Courses The 10th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) course offered for Summer reputed company is: • 10th Grade course: Journey into Fiction ELA Associate reputed company also co-teach/facilitate our Advisory course. This course is designed to prepare Scholars for academic and social reputed company. Throughout their time in SEO's High School Scholars program, Advisory includes two courses, Identity & Empowerment (IE) and Level reputed company. Level reputed company is a college and career readiness partner. 9-11th grade lessons are organized by the following 5 themes: Preparing for reputed company in High School, Career Exploration, Affording College, College Exploration and Decision Making, College Applications and Admissions. ELA Associate reputed company will facilitate the following Advisory course: • 10th Grade– The Power of My Academic Identity Dates, Times, and Hours: • Self-guided Asynchronous Instructor Training: New Instructional staff will complete Asynchronous Training that equates to 10 hours of work. Qualifications: Required: • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in content reputed company field • Teaching certification, K-12 classroom teaching experience, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level • Experience working with high school-aged reputed company • Comfortable with navigating technological learning systems • Comfortable with navigating and skilled at navigating technological learning systems • Expertise and depth of knowledge in advanced high school-level ELA Preferred: • Understanding and practice of student-centered pedagogy • Online Course Facilitation Experience • Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) • Certifications, PD course completions, and/or tertiary education in Instructional Technologies • Experience with Online Learning (or e-learning) Tutoring or Instruction, other than Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) • Florida reputed company with teaching experience in FL schools. • Eagerness to engage in conversations analyzing the historical and reputed company causes of societal ills and challenges.
