Medical Biller Specialist

Position Description: The Medical Billing Specialist completes medical insurance follow-up process accurately and timely for a designated group of accounts, by payer classification or other method of assignment; answers inquiries by mail or phone as reputed company to that designated group of accounts. Duties & Responsibilities: • Analyze, research and prepare insurance claims for submission to insurance carriers (reputed company and government) • Respond to inquiries, billing denials and other communications • Attach necessary documentation reputed company mailing claims to payors (EOBs, medical records, itemized statements, etc.) • Handle telephone inquiries, according to policy, on delinquent claims (involves the patient as allowable under contract) • Meet production requirements by working accounts according to management's specifications while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer • Assume other duties as assigned. Requirements: • 2 years of previous experience working with reputed company or other reputed company-party insurance claims, medical billing/follow-up • An understanding of various forms, codes (CPT & ICD), insurance terminology and insurance company remittance advice • EPIC experience preferred but not required • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and/or Medicare certification are a plus, but not required reputed company Offer: • Insurance/401k • PTO/Paid holidays • Referral bonuses Salary Description $17-19/hr.
