Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their innovative, remote-first team. This position focuses on the complex diagnostics of advanced automotive systems, including electric vehicle (EV) powertrains, sophisticated ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), and complex infotainment/connectivity platforms. You will be working from your own fully equipped workshop or a designated remote workspace, leveraging cutting-edge remote diagnostic tools and software. Your primary responsibilities will include performing in-depth remote diagnostics on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, interpreting complex diagnostic data, and providing clear, actionable repair recommendations to field technicians or end-users. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics of complex electronic and electrical systems, is required. Proven experience with diagnostic scan tools (e.g., Autel, Snap-on, dealer-specific tools) and oscilloscopes is mandatory. Familiarity with remote diagnostic platforms and software is a significant advantage. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities, are crucial for effective remote collaboration and reporting.
