About arenaflex

arenaflex is a global leader in beverage production and innovative packaging solutions. With a heritage that spans more than a century, we combine cutting‑edge technology, sustainable practices, and a people‑first philosophy to deliver world‑class products to millions of consumers every day. Our commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement drives everything we do, and we are looking for dedicated individuals who share our passion for excellence to join our night‑shift team.

Why This Role Matters

As a Production Operator – Packaging (Night Shift) at arenaflex, you will be a critical link in the manufacturing chain that ensures our products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Working the 9 PM – 5 AM shift, you will help keep the plant running smoothly while supporting a collaborative, high‑energy environment that values teamwork, innovation, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow manufacturing processes and safety protocols to execute tasks essential to the production cycle, including loading raw materials into packaging machines, removing finished goods, and organizing both raw and finished inventory.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and production scrap; maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to uphold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment, including mechanical and programmable controls, and perform necessary filler, conveyor, and palletizer adjustments during product changeovers.
  • Visually inspect incoming materials and finished products, making minor adjustments on the spot to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct and document package integrity tests, ensuring each case meets durability and labeling requirements.
  • Assist forklift operators with lower‑level tasks such as positioning pallets, handling slip sheets, and applying stretch wrap.
  • Identify non‑conforming items—such as improperly sealed boxes, incorrect codes, or potential damages—and report them promptly to production, maintenance, and logistics teams via plant radios and two‑way communication devices.
  • Monitor workstations and OIT (Operator Interface Terminal) screens for alerts, alarms, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and equipment maintenance reports in accordance with arenaflex documentation standards.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance personnel, line staff, and supervisors to resolve equipment or quality issues quickly, minimizing downtime and maximizing throughput.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with packaging machinery, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively for clear communication and documentation.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate production‑related issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions safely.
  • Willingness to work up to 12‑hour shifts, including overtime, to meet production demands.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and use of plant software systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical aptitude for reading equipment manuals and interpreting mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and methods, such as visual inspection, pressure testing, and label verification.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, including lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment while also taking ownership of individual tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules, product lines, and shift patterns.

Core Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Precise execution of packaging specifications and meticulous record‑keeping.
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to following all safety practices and promptly reporting hazards.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication with peers, supervisors, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to sustain energy and focus throughout night‑shift hours.
  • Adaptability: Quick response to equipment changes, product variations, and unexpected challenges.
  • Team Spirit: Willingness to support colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive work culture.
