Design Observer is seeking an exceptional industrial designer to join their award-winning studio. The role involves contributing to every phase of the design process, from early concept development through production, in a focused and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a small, experienced team and contribute to every phase of the design process—from early concept development through production
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual and form development skills
  • Exhibit refined aesthetic sensitivity and design judgment
  • Utilize excellent sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability
  • Show proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Maintain an interest in seeing designs through to production
  • Pay thoughtful attention to user experience and usability
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
  • Exhibit a collaborative, analytical, and self-motivated mindset

Skills

  • 1-3+ years of professional industrial design experience
  • Strong conceptual and form development skills
  • Refined aesthetic sensitivity and design judgment
  • Excellent sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Interest in seeing designs through to production
  • Thoughtful attention to user experience and usability
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Collaborative, analytical, and self-motivated mindset
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Industrial Design or related field
  • Authorization to work in the United States
