IT Audit Readiness Analyst
Kearney & Company is seeking an IT Audit Readiness Analyst to join their team, focusing on modernizing IT systems for compliance with federal IT audit and cybersecurity standards. The role involves supporting clients' IT audit readiness and ensuring proper documentation and communication throughout the audit process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze auditor or assessor requests, identify appropriate documentation in coordination with control owners, and review response for appropriteness and compliance
- Organize, monitor, and follow up on audit requests to provide timely responses
- Communicate delays and risks with management
- Perform review of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to determine sufficiency to remediate findings
- Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of audit finding remediation and clearly document results for management review
- Organize, monitor, and follow up on delayed audit finding remediation
- Support the development of detailed, time-phased modernization plans with actionable steps, key milestones, and measurable performance indicators
- Analyze opportunities to implement automation across the audit controls associated with business processes
- Support automating data pipelines and integration frameworks while maintaining data governance, accuracy, integrity, and auditability
Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Professional communication skills and clear business writing
- Ability to work at Alexandria, VA headquarters at least two times per week
- Must have an active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI) to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)
- Up to two years of experience performing external IT security assessments, audit liaison support for external IT security assessments, or ISSO support roles
- Experience with OMB A-123, OIG FISCAM, OIG FISMA
- Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM experience highly preferred
- Oracle Fusion ERP or Oracle E-Business Suite experience preferred
- Professional certification highly preferred: CISA, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications SCM Process Essentials
- Professional certification preferred: Security+, CDFM
