At arenaflex, we believe that information is more than just numbers on a spreadsheet — it is the lifeblood of strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and long-term competitive advantage. Our dedicated Operations Performance and Reporting (OPR) Examination Group stands as one of the core engines driving arenaflex's mission forward, championing a culture rooted in evidence-based strategy, performance management, and analytical precision.

Our team specializes in tackling the most intricate and multifaceted business challenges by leveraging advanced analytical methodologies, cutting-edge data science techniques, and intuitive visualization tools. We work with some of the most expansive and comprehensive datasets in the industry, drawing insights that shape the strategic direction of our Global Operations and Supply Chain divisions. Every dataset we touch, every model we build, and every recommendation we deliver is designed to unlock tangible business value, broaden our market footprint, and reinforce our standing as a truly inclusive, insight-driven organization.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. The OPR Examination Group partners closely with a diverse array of global teams, including merchandising, logistics, technology, finance, and supplier relations, to deliver solutions that not only answer critical business questions but also anticipate future needs. If you are passionate about using data to drive meaningful change and thrive in a remote-first environment that values autonomy, innovation, and impact, arenaflex has the perfect opportunity waiting for you.

Position Summary

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist supporting our Data, Performance, and Strategy (DPS) initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our team's broader mission: transforming a vast network of thousands of individual merchant and supplier organizations into a seamlessly integrated, high-performing operations ecosystem. Our technology partners are developing next-generation tools that suppliers will use to execute high-value operational actions, and your contributions will help determine whether we are building the right solutions to address the real needs of our supplier community.

In this fully remote role, you will combine business acumen, process optimization expertise, and data science fundamentals with data engineering and visualization tools to deliver actionable answers to the right business questions. You will have the opportunity to move quickly, work smartly, steer business strategy through data, and collaborate with a talented, diverse, multicultural, and globally distributed team. The work you produce will directly enhance fulfillment efficiency, improve communication channels, elevate reporting accuracy, expand product availability, and increase transparency throughout our supply chain — benefiting both arenaflex and our valued supplier partners alike.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our OPR Examination Group, your core duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop Statistical and Analytical Models: Build and refine quantitative models that support cross-functional initiatives spanning Global Operations, Supply Chain, and Merchandising, enabling data-driven decision-making at every level of the organization.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Data Solutions, Data Visualization, Technology, and other internal teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and effective rollout of analytical recommendations and process improvements.
  • Apply Data Science Techniques: Utilize data engineering and data science methods to bring clarity to complex, high-impact business questions, transforming raw information into strategic insights that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a knowledgeable authority for data, analytics, and visualization within the Global Operations or Supply Chain organization, ensuring accurate and timely interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior patterns.
  • Supplier Network Enhancement: Support wide-reaching improvement initiatives spanning thousands of suppliers to enhance efficiency, visibility, and collaboration across the entire supply chain ecosystem for our valued supplier partners.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify root causes of performance issues, uncover trends, and recommend actionable changes that drive continuous improvement.
  • Executive Communication: Regularly communicate performance trends, analytical findings, and improvement opportunities to senior management and executive leadership through compelling presentations, dashboards, and written reports.
  • Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all inputs, outputs, and reporting deliverables.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics, supply chain optimization, and visualization technologies, and proactively share insights with the broader team.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following foundational qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, or another rigorous quantitative discipline. A strong academic record is highly valued.
  • Quantitative Experience: Hands-on experience in a quantitative, business intelligence, data science, or engineering role performing detailed quantitative analysis. This may include internships, co-op experiences, academic research projects, or professional positions.
  • Programming Proficiency: Active experience conducting quantitative analyses on large datasets, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas) and at least one structured programming language such as Python or R.
  • SQL Expertise: Strong working knowledge of SQL, including TSQL, Google BigQuery, or Vertica — with experience in aggregate functions, joins, subqueries, and complex data extraction techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: High meticulousness and a proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects without sacrificing quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.
  • Project Ownership: Demonstrated experience in delivering successful projects from inception through completion, on time and within scope.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help set you apart from other candidates:

  • Visualization Tools: Familiarity with modern data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio is a strong plus.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Prior exposure to supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or retail operations is highly beneficial.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses, ETL pipelines, or big data ecosystems.
  • Machine Learning: Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, predictive modeling, or optimization techniques.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with comfort navigating iterative development cycles.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Beyond technical qualifications, we are seeking candidates who embody the following competencies:

  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to break down complex problems, identify patterns, and develop logical, data-backed solutions.
  • Curiosity and Continuous Improvement: A natural inclination to ask "why" and to seek out opportunities for process enhancement and innovation.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapidly evolving business needs in a high-growth environment.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A genuine enjoyment of working with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing to collective success.
  • Results Orientation: A strong drive to deliver measurable impact and to consistently exceed expectations.
  • Executive Presence: Confidence and poise when presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
