Position Overview – Part‑Time Remote Customer Service Agent

Are you a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused professional who enjoys a dynamic, fast‑paced environment? arenaflex is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Part‑Time Remote Customer Service Agents. In this role, you will be the frontline guardian of our baggage, mail, and freight handling operations, ensuring that every item reaches its destination safely and on schedule. This position offers flexible scheduling (20‑40 hours per week) and the ability to work from home while collaborating with a vibrant, mission‑driven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and freight to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections by directing inbound and outbound planes to gate positions.
  • Protect cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and adverse weather conditions through careful handling and proper storage.
  • Operate ground equipment—including tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors—safely and efficiently in congested ramp environments.
  • Continuously lift and move packages onto trucks, guaranteeing that each shipment arrives at its intended destination without delay.
  • Utilize scanners and computer systems to track items accurately, ensuring proper routing to the passenger’s final destination.
  • Practice and promote safety‑aware behaviors throughout all operational cycles and procedures.
  • Maintain clear communication with pilots, ground crew, and internal stakeholders to coordinate smooth operations.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify and report potential hazards.
  • Adapt to shifting schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, while working in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.).

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and the handling of personal information in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, cultures, and perspectives.
  • Strong sense of responsibility for personal and team safety.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scanning devices and data entry.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift packages up to 50 lb regularly and up to 70 lb occasionally.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Prior experience in airport ground handling, logistics, or a related customer service role.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety standards (e.g., OSHA, FAA regulations).
  • Experience operating ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, or cargo carts.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, or other emergency response training.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate arenaflex’s internal software platforms.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
