Your work will directly influence the reliability, efficiency, and capabilities of products that reach millions of customers worldwide. If you thrive on solving complex engineering challenges and enjoy the freedom of remote work, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Circuit Development: Design, simulate, and verify custom analog and mixed‑signal circuits, including SRAM cells, on‑chip sensors, and machine‑learning accelerators.
  • Low‑Power Optimization: Engineer low‑voltage, low‑power solutions that meet stringent performance targets for high‑end and low‑power SoCs.
  • Collaboration with Power & PD Teams: Work closely with power groups, product development (PD), and layout engineers to define specifications, characterize data, and validate requirements.
  • Design Verification & Testing: Conduct comprehensive design verification, including schematic capture, layout extraction, corner analysis (PVT), and silicon bring‑up.
  • Silicon Debug & Failure Analysis: Lead investigations during silicon debug, collect and analyze data, and develop robust test strategies for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Perl, or similar) to streamline design flows, data processing, and test generation.
  • Documentation & Quality Assurance: Produce clear design documentation, maintain design quality standards, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Cross‑Functional Communication: Serve as a technical liaison between circuit design, architecture, verification, and physical design teams to ensure seamless integration.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in custom ASIC design, preferably in a semiconductor or high‑performance computing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience designing low‑voltage, low‑power custom circuits such as SRAM, analog sensors, DC‑DC converters, and timing circuits.
  • Device Physics Knowledge: Deep understanding of sub‑micron device physics, noise sources (1/f, thermal), and their impact on circuit performance.
  • Simulation Tools: Proficiency with industry‑standard circuit simulation tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys HSPICE).
  • Programming Skills: Strong scripting abilities in Python, Perl, or equivalent languages for automation and data analysis.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Demonstrated capability to lead silicon debug, interpret test data, and implement corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with AI accelerator design, high‑speed timing circuits, or time‑to‑digital converters (TDCs).
  • Familiarity with mixed‑signal verification environments and testbench development.
  • Knowledge of low‑power design techniques such as power gating, dynamic voltage scaling, and adaptive body biasing.
  • Previous exposure to remote or distributed team environments.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and develop systematic solutions.
  • Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, essential for documenting designs and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in cross‑functional settings and can influence without authority.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design verification, ensuring that every parameter meets specification.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
