I need a reliable, ongoing contractor in San Diego to manage a quarterly (every 3 months) process for getting a family member's refrigerated prescription medication from a San Diego–area pharmacy to the recipient in the Philippines. The medication is insulin and must stay refrigerated (2–8°C / 36–46°F) the entire way — if it warms or freezes, it's ruined. This is a recurring operational role, not a one-time research task. Each cycle you will coordinate the refill, pick it up locally, pack it to hold cold-chain, prepare the documentation, arrange delivery to the Philippines, and confirm it arrived. I'm looking for a dependable long-term working relationship — reliability matters more to me than the lowest rate. What you'll do each quarter Coordinate the refill timing with the pharmacy (Chula Vista / San Diego area) and confirm the order is ready for pickup. Pick up / receive the medication locally in San Diego. Inspect and pack it in validated cold-chain packaging that holds 2–8°C for the full transit time (insulated cooler + gel packs or equivalent). I can supply packaging or you source it and I reimburse. Assemble the documentation that travels with every shipment — a copy of the prescription and the prescribing physician's letter. Arrange the delivery to the Philippines using the most reliable, compliant method for that cycle — e.g., routing it with a traveler when one is available, or a courier/forwarder you identify — making sure it satisfies US export and Philippine import requirements for personal-use prescription medication. Track the shipment and confirm receipt with the recipient. Keep a simple log and checklist (dates, method, cost, tracking, confirmation) so the process is documented and repeatable each quarter. Compliance requirement (important) All shipments must comply with applicable US export and Philippine import rules for personal-use prescription medication. Insulin is a temperature-sensitive prescription drug, and the recipient is the patient named on the prescription. You're expected to confirm the current rules and flag any issue before shipping rather than guessing. Part of the value of this role is getting the method right so nothing is delayed or seized. Ideal contractor Located in the San Diego / Chula Vista area and able to pick up locally — this is a hard requirement. Reliable and detail-oriented. This recurs on a schedule and is time-sensitive (it's someone's medication). Experience with shipping/logistics, errand or personal-assistant work, or healthcare/pharmacy logistics is a strong plus. Comfortable handling cold-chain packaging and coordinating an international delivery. Clear, responsive communicator — you'll confirm each cycle with me and with the recipient. Cadence & engagement Every 3 months (quarterly), aligned to the 90-day refill cycle. Estimated a few hours of hands-on work per cycle, plus delivery coordination and follow-up.
