As a Associate Product Owner, you will play a critical role in supporting our Aetna members and our business by supporting the definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of products and capabilities aligned to business and customer needs. This role partners with Product Managers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and agile delivery teams to translate business priorities into actionable work, ensuring value delivery across initiatives such as claims intake and data processing solutions. The Associate Product Owner contributes to product vision execution, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement while developing deep expertise in business processes and customer needs. This role provides growth opportunities into full Product Owner or Product Manager positions, with increasing ownership Primary Duties and Responsibilities Partner with Product Manager and senior Product Owners to support development and execution of product vision and roadmap Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to identify problems and define solutions Translate business needs into clearly defined features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items Support backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning in coordination with agile teams Act as a liaison between business and IT to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) Assist in tracking product performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting delivery of business value Contribute to documentation, requirements traceability, and testing validation where needed Ensure alignment to regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements relevant to claims and data processing Required Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, project management, or related role Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (business, IT, operations)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, claims processing, EDI transactions, or related domains Familiarity with product backlog tools (e.g., Rally, Jira) Understanding of data flows, integration processes, or claims intake workflows Exposure to regulatory/compliance-driven environments We support a hybrid work environment. If selected and you live near a suitable work location, you may be expected to comply with the hybrid work policy. Under the policy, all hires for in-scope populations should be placed into a hybrid or office-based location, working onsite three days a week. Aetna Service Operations office/hub locations will be discussed with the selected candidate. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $60,300.00 - $132,600.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
