LHB, Inc. is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and planning firm focused on climate solutions. They are seeking a Climate Solutions Research Assistant to support climate mitigation and resilience projects through quantitative analysis, data collection, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Work with LHB’s Climate Solutions Studio on planning and research projects to improve the built environment. Tasks may include:
  • Greenhouse gas inventories
  • Data collection
  • Quantitative analysis
  • Visual communications of data and results
  • Climate action and resilience/adaptation plan development
  • Facilitation of community/stakeholder engagement
  • Written communications and presentations
  • Business development for climate solutions and planning projects
  • Technical guidance for team members

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, climate, energy, and/or land use planning
  • 1 year of experience in related field
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts through visual representation
  • Passion for sustainability, climate action, equity/inclusion
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity for learning and innovation
  • Ability to collaborate with a team
  • Self-motivated individual who goes above and beyond to add value to projects
  • Experience with greenhouse gas emissions inventories
