Construction Project Scheduler — Mid-Level
Location: Remote considered for highly qualified candidates (Periodic travel to the project site may be required for project meetings, updates, and presentstions) Reports To: Senior Scheduler / Project Controls Lead / Project Managers Albers Management is seeking a mid-level Project Scheduler to support Project Spade, a large-scale mission-critical construction program. This role is intended for a strong independent contributor who can work under the direction of senior schedulers and project managers, execute assigned scheduling tasks, and help maintain accurate project schedule information. This is not intended to be a senior program scheduling role. The successful candidate does not need to independently develop or manage an entire program schedule or supervise other schedulers. However, they must be competent, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to complete assigned work with limited day-to-day direction once expectations are clear.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior schedulers and project managers in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Assist with schedule updates, logic review, activity coding, duration tracking, milestone tracking, and variance reporting.
- Collect schedule progress information from project teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Help review contractor schedule submissions for completeness, accuracy, logic, and alignment with project requirements.
- Support preparation of look-ahead schedules, milestone reports, progress updates, and schedule narratives.
- Coordinate schedule information with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change events, and other project records in Procore.
- Identify potential schedule concerns, missing information, or inconsistencies and elevate them to senior schedulers or project managers.
- Participate in schedule review meetings, project coordination meetings, and other project controls discussions.
- Maintain organized scheduling files, supporting documentation, and update records.
- Follow established project controls procedures, reporting formats, and schedule management expectations.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, field teams, contractors, design teams, and project controls staff.
Required Qualifications
- Prior scheduling experience on construction, industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, data center, commercial, or similar capital projects.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with Procore or ability to quickly learn and use Procore for project coordination and documentation.
- Ability to understand construction sequencing, schedule logic, milestones, constraints, and critical path concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, organized work.
- Ability to take direction from senior schedulers and project managers, then execute assigned tasks independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple project stakeholders.
- Proactive, dependable, and willing to follow up to obtain needed information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment with changing priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale construction or mission-critical projects.
- Data center, utility, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or large campus project experience.
- Experience reviewing contractor schedules and preparing schedule update narratives.
- Experience working as part of an owner’s representative, construction management, EPC, general contractor, or project controls team.
- Proven ability to work remotely, if applicable, with strong references confirming reliability, responsiveness, and productivity in a remote environment.
Work Location The preference is for this role to be based on the project site to allow direct coordination with the project team, contractors, and field leadership. Remote candidates may be considered if they have a proven track record of successful remote work, strong communication habits, and references that support their ability to perform effectively without daily in-person supervision. Remote candidates should expect periodic travel to the project site and/or St. Louis offices as required. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a strong mid-level scheduler who is competent in P6, understands construction schedule fundamentals, and can be trusted to complete assigned work accurately and on time. They are a go-getter, responsive, organized, and comfortable working under senior schedulers and project managers. They do not need to be a program-level scheduling lead, but they must be a reliable independent contributor who can help keep schedule information current, accurate, and useful to the project team.
