International Shipping Coordinator (Trade & Transportation) - Remote role
The Fountain Group is currently seeking an International Shipping Coordinator (Trade & Transportation) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Fully Remote. Details for the position are as follows: Job Description:
- Payrate: $30-35/hr W2
- Duration: 12 months contract - possible extension based on performance & budget.
- Fully Remote role.
- Looking for a transportation/logistics professional with SAP experience who can investigate freight exceptions, reconcile carrier and shipment documentation, accurately code freight invoices, and support import/export compliance activities.
- The Trade & Transportation Specialist role is responsible for local import/export operations.
- This role assists the performance and smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.
Required Skills:
- Must have an Associates degree (required).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in facilitating import/ export shipments and transportation compliance is required.
- Hands on experience in SAP and with freight and carrier document management is required.
- Transportation, freight, and SAP experience - candidates should have 3+ years' hands-on experience processing freight invoices, managing carrier documentation, researching shipment discrepancies, handling import/export transactions, and working within SAP to trace PO numbers, delivery orders, sales orders, handling units, bills of lading, and freight exceptions is required.
- Experience with freight audit, transportation compliance, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations is highly relevant is required.
- Strong oral and written communication in English with problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
Responsibilities:
- SAP Access - Familiar with looking up:
- PO #'s, DO #'s, SO #'s
- Cross Reference Handling Unit 2 Field
- Freight Exception Queue Management
- Identify the plant assigned for freight bills that do not auto-code based on logic parameters
- Use identified information to select the correct General Ledger account and apply to the invoice
- Cross reference carrier documents or carrier websites to help with #2
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading, References, and Locations to find the correct code
