Training Support Specialist Plymouth, MN $42/HR Position Summary The Training Support Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs focused on CYME software, supporting customers in understanding both foundational and advanced system functionality. This role blends technical expertise in power systems with instructional design and facilitation skills to create engaging, effective learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver instructor-led virtual training sessions on CYME software, covering core and advanced features. Facilitate hands-on exercises, labs, and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning and practical application. Translate complex electrical engineering and power system concepts into clear, user-friendly instruction. Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, including presentations, lab guides, exercises, and job aids. Assess learner comprehension during sessions and adapt delivery methods to accommodate varying skill levels. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Support teams to ensure alignment with current functionality and best practices. Gather and analyze participant feedback to continuously improve training content, delivery methods, and overall effectiveness. Maintain training environments, including lab configurations, datasets, and system readiness. Support the development of blended learning solutions, including self-paced and eLearning content. Stay current on CYME product updates, industry standards, and utility best practices. Track and report training activities, participation, and outcomes as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering degree preferred. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree with a strong background in adult learning, instructional design, training, or workforce education. Experience in customer enablement, training delivery, or a related field. Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of electric utility distribution and transmission fundamentals (e.g., load flow, short circuit analysis, protection, reliability, grounding, and integration studies). Familiarity with adult learning methodologies and instructional design frameworks. Prior customer-facing experience supporting enterprise software implementations. Apply To This Job
