Security Benefit fosters strong partnerships to provide insightful and customized retirement solutions for employers and individual investors nationwide. Through a broad advisor network and its nationally recognized money managers, Security Benefit provides mutual funds, annuities and retirement programs. As an industry leader in service technology, our affiliates offer business processing and broker/dealer solutions tailored to the financial services marketplace. The National Accounts Manager position reports to the SVP, Head of National Accounts and can be based out of our Topeka or Overland Park, Kansas, Des Moines, Iowa or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site. About the Role: The National Accounts department provides services and support to banks, credit unions and Independent Broker Dealers. The National Accounts Manager will: Serve as a National Account lead across all partners and distribution platforms Collaborate with marketing and distribution to increase sales and profitability through top-down support and execution of firm wide goals Establish sales goals with each partner and implement campaigns to help attain the goals Negotiate marketing allowances, commission agreements, and onboarding initiatives for existing and new partner relationships Develop and execute business plans with key partners to increase product penetration, advisor adoption, and overall sales effectiveness. Deliver high-impact presentations to home office COI, sales desks, field teams and advisors. Represent the firm at industry conferences and events, leading keynote presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions to elevate brand visibility and sales. Partner with internal sales teams (wholesalers, consultants, and distribution leaders) to align national account strategies with field execution and client engagement. Conduct ongoing market research and competitive intelligence analysis to identify trends, product gaps, and emerging opportunities across the financial services landscape. Collaborate with investment analysts and industry research teams to translate insights into actionable product positioning, messaging, and sales strategies. Serve as a liaison between product development, marketing, and distribution teams to ensure offerings are aligned with client needs and market demand. Lead onboarding processes for new distribution partners, including due diligence, platform integration, training, and go-to-market planning. Design and implement joint marketing initiatives with partner firms, including campaigns, advisor education programs, and co-branded materials. Influence product development and enhancements by providing feedback from clients, advisors, and industry stakeholders. Monitor platform performance, sales metrics, and partner engagement to optimize strategy and drive continuous improvement. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including CIOs, heads of due diligence, and platform gatekeepers. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies in all aspects of partner engagement and distribution activities. Other duties as requested What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree 10+ years’ financial services experience, managing Financial Institution, bank, or broker-dealer distribution relationships in the insurance, annuity MF or retirement industry Series 6, 23 Licenses Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills with the ability to adapt to multiple situations Ability to perform with minimal supervision Ability to multitask, set priorities and execute against goals Detail oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and quality oriented Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint with emphasis on Excel. Must have shown dedication to increase personal development and exhibited proven performance skills Proven ability to work both as a team and independently Great customer service delivery with strong follow-up responsiveness In depth understanding of sales metrics and trends Availability to travel as needed Why Choose Security Benefit?
