As a remote Customer Service Representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient handling of specialty drug requests.

Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-supporting specialty drug treatment. Your primary duties will include:

  • Coordinating and handling new and reorder requests for specialty medications, including verifying and updating patient information
  • Assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into the pharmacy's data system
  • Collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with billing or clinical issues
  • Collaborating with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient handling of specialty drug requests
  • Providing empathetic and genuine care to patients and customers, resolving complex issues, and escalating concerns as needed

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-supporting specialty drug treatment

  • Coordinate and handle new and reorder requests for specialty medications

Essential Qualifications

* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness

Preferred Qualifications

* Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone

  • Medical healthcare work experience and experience with benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology

Training and Development

* High school diploma or equivalent required
