In this new role, the Scrum Master plays a critical role in driving Agile transformation across Sarnova’s technology initiatives. By enabling high-performing teams and streamlining delivery processes, this role directly contributes to faster innovation, improved product quality, and enhanced cross-functional collaboration. Cardio Partners, a division of Sarnova, is a national leader in emergency prevention and an ardent advocate in the fight against Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Cardio Partners offers complete cardiac solutions to our customers including equipment, consultation, end-to-end training, and program management. As an authorized master distributor of all FDA-approved defibrillator devices, the company provides customers the best-in-class value for new and recertified equipment. Customers’ emergency preparedness needs are met via Cardio Partners’ nationwide CPR training courses and state-of-the-art program management services. For Non-Central Ohio based candidates this is a remote opportunity. Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to work EST hours. Candidates who require visa sponsorship/transfer now or in the future cannot be considered. Summary: Sarnova is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our growing technology team. This role is responsible for guiding Agile development practices across multiple teams, ensuring effective collaboration, continuous improvement, and successful delivery of custom software solutions. The Scrum Master will work closely with internal developers and external partners to drive Agile maturity using tools such as Jira and Confluence, and foster a high-performing team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies—daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives—ensuring they are purposeful, time-efficient, and drive team alignment and accountability Ensure teams consistently apply Agile principles and Scrum best practices, fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and iterative delivery Partner with internal and external development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to align sprint goals with broader organizational objectives, ensuring clarity on timelines, deliverables, and dependencies Proactively identify and remove impediments to team progress Promote a culture of continuous improvement and Agile excellence Track and analyze Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle time to assess team health and delivery trends, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies and use of Jira and Confluence Maintain clear communication and transparency across all stakeholders Collaborate closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and readiness for upcoming sprints Ensure proper documentation and visibility of work items in Jira and Confluence Skills/Experience Required: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field 2-4 years of experience in custom software development Familiarity with technologies and tools used in enterprise-level development environments Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead in a software development environment Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence (Azure DevOps experience is a plus) Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset Experience working with both internal and external development teams is a plus Sarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
