The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth, mitigate risk, and inform strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the future of our organization, and we're excited to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director of Data Science, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
• Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert on applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption)
• Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical support
• Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
• Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
• Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
• Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
• A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required
• Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Our compensation package is designed to recognize and reward your hard work and dedication.
