FLEX Scrum Master

This is a temporary position. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for the Loyalty Replatforming Initiative, a multi-year transformation effort modernizing Marriott Bonvoy’s loyalty systems. This role will be pivotal in driving Agile excellence across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with program increments (PIs), and enabling seamless coordination between engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrum Leadership & Agile Execution
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Guide teams through Agile best practices, fostering continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
  • Track sprint velocity, manage burn-down charts, and ensure delivery against PI commitments.
  • Technical Coordination & Risk Management
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to resolve technical blockers and align on architecture decisions.
  • Drive risk identification and mitigation strategies across the Loyalty Release Train.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to maintain a prioritized and refined backlog.
  • Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and PI Planning sessions.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Maintain Agile dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise software development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
