- A Senior AWS DBA with RDS/Aurora, PostgreSQL, Terraform, DynamoDB
- Ability to analyze and identify gaps, troubleshoot issues and be an AWS DBA SME

Core Responsibilities: Database Expertise & Analysis - Serve as the team’s database expert across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. Perform data modeling, query tuning, and performance analysis. Identify architectural gaps or database design issues and translate them into clear problem statements and recommended solutions. Collaborate with owning teams to drive database‑related improvements into their backlogs. Terraform & Deployment Ownership Understand and work within a Terraform‑centric deployment model—all database provisioning and changes flow through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Analyze and interpret USAA‑specific Terraform modules, including “safe landing” customizations layered on top of public modules. Troubleshoot issues related to database provisioning, VPC placement, and pipeline execution. Develop proof‑of‑concepts and validate database deployment patterns using Terraform. Documentation & Process Clarity Produce clear documentation describing How databases are deployed into AWS accounts and VPCs.
