Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to support our data management and administrative functions on a part-time remote basis. As a Remote Data Entry Assistant / Typist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data entry processes, while providing exceptional support to our team members. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Assistant / Typist, you'll be responsible for:
  • Processing substantial amounts of case information accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with standardized department procedures.
  • Entering all complaints and citations filed by the police and the public into the statewide computer database.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on all matters.
  • Posting payments, issuing receipts, balancing money daily, and making bank deposits.
  • Managing payment plans and processing monthly bookkeeping reports and data, issuing and printing checks.
  • Logging events and transactions such as applications, telephone messages, hearing dates, and decisions on cases.
  • Performing receptionist duties by greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.
  • Preparing outgoing mail and processing incoming mail.
  • Keeping inventory of office supplies and making orders as necessary.
  • Performing other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Preparing draft and final-form technical documents, which will become deliverables under the task. Must be capable of using word processing software typing technical narratives and data. Responsible for the spelling, grammar, proper format, and proofreading of finished documents.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in related areas performing secretarial or general office work in an office with considerable public contact, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training that demonstrates the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • A working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications, and Google.
  • Knowledge, skill, and/or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies.
  • US and Canada residency only.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
  • One year of technical typing experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
