Are you ready for a senior leadership opportunity where science, strategy, and public health come together to shape the future of vaccination in Brazil?

As Vaccines Medical Director, you will lead the Vaccines Medical Affairs team at GSK Brazil, with full accountability for defining and executing the medical strategy across a diverse vaccines portfolio, including both adult and pediatric vaccines. This role is critical to advancing public health impact, expanding access, and accelerating the evolution of adult vaccination in a complex and rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

  • Provide strategic medical leadership for public health and access pathways, including engagement with the National Immunization Program (NIP), HTA processes, and evidence generation to support public decision-making.
  • Support private market access and adoption strategies, shaping robust medical value narratives through high-quality scientific engagement with payers, key decision-makers, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Drive external medical and scientific thought leadership, advancing the evolution of adult vaccination through partnerships with key experts, scientific societies, and healthcare ecosystems.
  • Partner closely with Global and Regional Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Evidence teams, ensuring Brazilian insights inform global strategy and that evidence plans address local medical, access, and policy needs.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of core medical activities, including congresses, advisory boards, scientific communications, medical education initiatives, and publications.
  • Act as a senior medical and governance leader, partnering cross-functionally (Commercial, Market Access, Public Affairs, Regulatory) to ensure scientific integrity, compliance, ethical standards, and effective medical risk management.

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD, with significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (vaccines and/or specialty care)
  • Extensive leadership experience within Medical Affairs
  • Proven ability to lead complex medical strategies in highly regulated and evolving environments
  • Deep understanding of public and private access dynamics within the Brazilian healthcare system
  • Strong strategic thinking, influencing capability, and business acumen

It Will Be a Plus If You Also Have:

  • Prior experience in Vaccines (a differentiator, not a strict requirement)
  • Leadership experience in specialty areas with strong exposure to access, clinical guidelines, and stakeholder influence
