Overview

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team focused on robotic house-building automation. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems tailored specifically for robotic applications. This role demands expertise in mechanical design, prototyping, structural analysis, and a fundamental understanding of robotic systems.

  • Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and test mechanical components for robotic systems.

  • Conduct structural analyses and simulations to validate mechanical designs.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineers, electronics specialists, and robotics integrators.
  • Ensure all mechanical designs comply with safety standards, reliability requirements, and performance objectives.
  • Continuously contribute to improving and optimizing existing robotic systems.
  • Clearly document design processes, technical specifications, and testing outcomes.
  • Oversee the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during development, testing, and operational phases.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and troubleshooting to guarantee system integration and functionality.
  • Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and assembly, specifically for robotics or automation systems.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software for detailed mechanical design and assembly modeling.
  • Experience using structural analysis tools and methodologies (FEA, stress analysis).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical design challenges.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills, with effective communication across diverse teams.
  • Desired Skills

Familiarity with robotic kinematics and dynamics.

  • Experience with materials selection and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly with electronic components and robotic control systems.
  • Knowledge of robotic control systems, sensors, and actuators.
  • Hands-on experience with machining tools and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping technologies (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
