Job title: Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Music Recording Company: Owens Community College Job description: Advertised Position Title: Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Music Recording Job Description: Teach classes in Music Recording. These may include both 100 and 200 level coursework. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: This position requires classroom and/or online instruction in the discipline. The instructor must be knowledgeable in the discipline and mus provide high quality instruction. The instructor must have a demonstrated knowledge of and integration of appropriate practices of teaching diverse learners. This position requires the individual to have strong skills in the following: 1. Written and oral communication. 2. Problem-solving. 3. Critical thinking. 4. Computer use, including proficiency with reputed company Office Suite and/or other required programs, reputed company, and Owens email. This position requires the individual to have the ability to: 1. Work with a diverse group of reputed company. 2. Integrate diverse methodologies in order to facilitate student learning. 3. Understand the needs of community reputed company. 4. Manage a classroom, including organizing and presenting material, designing lessons an activities that will facilitate student learning, and monitoring student behavior and performance. 5. Evaluate student work fairly using Department guidelines. Essential Functions: TEACHES CLASSES 1. CREATES AND MAINTAINS ASSIGNMENTS, EVALUATIVE MEASURES, AND RECORDS 1. Creates and evaluates assignments, evaluative measures, and activities appropriate to the class. 2. Assigns grades to student work. 3. Returns the graded assignments, evaluative measures, and activities to the reputed company in a timely manner. Maintains the general guideline of returning student work and posting grades reputed company a week. 4. Maintains accurate and thorough records of student attendance. 5. Reports student attendance as required, by the published deadline. 6. Maintains an accurate and thorough electronic grade book. 7. At the end of the term, reports grades to the Records Office by the deadline and submits electronic copies of grade book and attendance to the Department course management site. 8. Administers course evaluations as instructed by the College. COMMUNICATES EFFECTIVELY 1. Uses the College?s course management system for assigned courses and department matters as appropriate. 2. Uses MS Office Suite and/or other required (and Owens-system-compatible and approved) programs. 3. Submits electronic copies of reputed company requested documents (including syllabi, grade books, attendance records, and other files as required) to the Department course management site. 4. Accesses Owens email account at least every other day to communicate adequately with reputed company and with the Department Chair. Maintains the general guideline of reading and replying to reputed company required messages reputed company 48 hours. 5. Checks reputed company mailbox at least once a week. 6. Responds to student inquiries reputed company of class in a timely manner. ENGAGES IN OTHER DEPARTMENT-reputed company ACTIVITIES 1. Further consideration will be given to those candidates with experience in live sound reinforcement, surround sound mixing, and running a Commercial recording studio.
