[Remote] OSP Designer (12-Month Contract)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leader in telecommunications network construction, maintenance, and service installation. The OSP Designer will be responsible for the detailed design of reputed company Plant elements and fiber designs for telecommunication networks, ensuring constructability and compliance with safety codes.
Responsibilities
- Design new civil telecom infrastructure on both private and public property
- Collaborating with various authorities for approval
- Understanding of detailed layout and design of PON (GPON / FTTH) networks utilizing various programs while incorporating safety into reputed company aspects of design using SpatialNET
- Reading and interpreting reputed company plant records (data, maps, fiber network designs) reputed company SpatialNET and can extract record from it as well
- Maintain knowledge of reputed company OSP design principles and industry standards, and reputed company in compliance with updated Safety Codes, Electric Codes, customer practices and procedures
- reputed company system design, create BOM and provide construction quotes for requested projects
- Collaborating with team members from other divisions to overcome project challenges and issues
- reputed company quality control and can effectively monitor plans for constructability review
- Following company standards and procedures reputed company to Health & Safety while performing assigned job duties
- Ensuring scheduled deadlines are adhered to and project deliverables are maintained
- Visit job sites on a regular basis to ensure specifications and client requirements are being met
Skills
- Graduate from a technical college program preferably in civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS, and/or equivalent experience
- Up to 3 years' experience working in telecommunications or reputed company field
- Strong MS Office skills, along with experience in AutoCAD is required
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders and interpret their needs
- Working knowledge of construction or telecom documents, drawings, specifications and reputed company construction practices and methodology
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
