[Remote] New Business Development Specialist (Remote, Canada)

The New Business Development Specialist will connect with business leaders to introduce effective benefits solutions, identify prospects, and support licensed advisors by booking meetings.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect high‑potential businesses across Canada
- Initiate outreach through phone and email to start meaningful conversations
- Qualify leads and book appointments for our licensed sales advisors
- Track outreach activity, follow‑ups, and outcomes in our CRM
- Collaborate with teammates to share strategies, improve performance, and achieve team goals
Skills
- Experience in sales, cold calling, or business development
- Strong communication skills and a professional, confident presence
- A goal‑oriented mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment
- Comfort with technology and a desire to grow within a supportive, team‑based culture
- Accountable: You take ownership of your outcomes, positive or negative, without blaming others within the team or cross‑functionally
- Effective Communicator: You communicate clearly, in a positive and respectful manner, while building relationships through tact and diplomacy
